The Saucony Xodus Ultra 3 adds more to the softer bouncier layer– 23% more to be exact. This shoe has a premium PWRRUN PB core (the same midsole foam found in their high-end training and road racing models) closest to the foot. As with the previous version, an outer PWRRUN shell provides stability and durability.
The extra cushion underfoot and slightly wider platform should place the Saucony Xodus Ultra 3 firmly into the ultra-distance/premium comfort trainer category. Much of the rest remains familiar with an engineered mesh and strategically mapped PWRTRAC outsole that Saucony is well known for.
